1 Bob McCord was one of the pioneers of Kawasaki Jet Ski® watercraft racing. The story begins at Carlsbad Lagoon in 1972, ironically enough, during a search for peaceful waters. Bob “Big Mac” McCord was at the lagoon hoping to encounter peace and calm, but instead noticed a pronounced chop on the surface of the water. He set out to explore the cause of the chop and encountered two guys racing around the lagoon on some sort of strange new machine. As he stood at the water's edge observing, one of the guys came to shore. Bob stepped towards him, extended his hand and said, “Hello, you want to...

2 PROPULSION SYSTEM A high-rpm jet pump converts the Jet Ski SX-R engine’s big power into thrust. A cast aluminum steering nozzle directs the massive thrust and is specially designed for light operation and quick handling, ideal for a high-performance stand-up watercraft. A low-resistance, high-flow stainless steel intake grate enables a steady flow of water for smooth, consistent power. 3 HULL The all-new V-shape hull design offers an ideal combination of...

EVOLUTION 1 CONTROLS The handle pole is positioned to reduce the amount of forward/backward movement at the controls and puts the rider’s hands in a comfortable ergonomic position. This helps to minimize fatigue, which can be a critical factor during longer races. Engine and fuel warning lights are built into the handle pole. A stainless steel KX™ motocross-style handlebar offers optimum control. 2 DECK A generous deck area allows for optimum rider movement on the Jet Ski® SX-R™ stand-up personal watercraft. The forward slant of the deck helps riders brace against the Jet Ski SX-R...

3 DESIGN The Jet Ski SX-R has plenty of added comfort and convenience features to make your ride more enjoyable. The 6-gallon fuel tank offers a greater range than the two-stroke Jet Ski 800 SX-R. A key-operated magnetic ignition switch helps deter theft and a wrist lanyard connected to the engine stop switch automatically cuts power to the engine if the rider falls off the watercraft. Integrated floatation cells helps keep the Jet Ski SX-R afloat, even when capsized, and a full circumference bumper helps protect the hull. A small-item storage area located beneath the handle pole helps...

2 SUPERCHARGER The TVS roots-type supercharger uses twin four-lobe rotors in conjunction with an intercooler to supply the Jet Ski Ultra 310 Series engine with an uninterrupted flow of cool, dense air for maximum performance gain. The TVS is a fixed-displacement design, meaning it produces large quantities of boost at all rpm, from idle to redline. It contributes to maximum torque and strong linear power delivery across the rev range that no other forced-induction system can match. Professional Rider on a Closed Course
