Installation Sand-grid Beds (Adjust deeper lying boxes where possible) 1) Clean the concrete floor to ensure the bed lays flat and evenly. 2) Place the bed centrally, around 10/12cm away from the discharge end of the box. 3) Drill 12 x 8mm holes through the intended positions. 4) Fix the bed using rawlplugs, washers and screws in all 12 positions. 5) After fixing all the beds, overfill these and the end spaces with unwashed builders sand by 1-2cm, and compact by treading. After a day's bovine occupation, a light bed of of straw or sawdust can be spread on the compacted sand. 6) Average required sand: 1m3 per 3 beds.
