Patriot® Ultra-Fiber™ - 1

Patriot® Ultra-Fiber™ Horse Feed Product Number A Pelleted Feed for All Classes of Mature Horses Product Positioning A source of energy that does not contribute to metabolic and digestive disorders and developmental orthopedic disorders (DOD) is a long-awaited breakthrough for the horse industry. ADM’s Fortified Feeds utilize vegetable fats and fermentable fiber sources to provide higher energy, lower starch formulations, which decrease the risks of digestive and metabolic disorders. Fortified Feeds are formulated for today’s performance horses using the latest scientific data. Fortified Feed products utilize GROSTRONG Minerals along with high-quality, multiple sources of protein, quality grains, fermentable fiber sources, and added vegetable fats to provide balanced nutrition for horses. Forage First® programs combine goodquality forage, GROSTRONG vitamin-mineral products, and Fortified Feed products to produce balanced total rations. With this combination of feeds, horses can be healthy and perform at their best when fed less grain than they would receive from traditional horse rations. Consequently, horses are at less risk of metabolic and digestive disorders and DOD that may result from high-starch intake. Where forage supplies are limited or of poor quality, choose one of the complete feeds in the Fortified Feed line-up of products. Patriot Ultra-Fiber Horse Feed, a Fortified Feed, is a key component of the Forage First program. Patriot Ultra-Fiber Horse Feed is suitable for all classes of horses. For use in growing horse rations, call the Equine Nutrition HELPLINE at 800-680-8254. It provides a lower starch-to-fiber ratio than most grain mixes. Product Description Patriot Ultra-Fiber Horse Feed is a highly palatable, limited-starch, vitamin-mineral fortified, pelleted feed. When fed with goodquality forage, this feed meets the protein, energy, vitamin, and mineral requirements for most mature horses. Depending on quality of forage fed, additional protein, vitamins, and minerals might be required for broodmares, growing horses, and hardworking horses. Provides vegetable fat and fermentable fiber sources Limited starch Provides high-quality protein sources plus added amino acids Contains GROSTRONG Minerals Lowers starch content of the diet, reducing the starch-to-fiber ratio, creating a healthier feed. Does not contain whole corn or corn starch sources. Recommended amounts to meet needs; provides as much lysine as most 16% protein equine feeds plus inclusion of lysine, methionine, and threonine (essential amino acids). Provides 28 major minerals, trace minerals, vitamins, and electrolytes (includes salt) to ensure horses receive nutrients in correct amounts and ratios needed for maintenance, growth, reproduction, and performance. Complexed mineral sources are more readily available compared with inorganic sources, which could be crucial to stressed horses and may also provide health benefits such as immunity, skeletal growth, and hoof integrity. Zinpro®* Availa®* copper, manganese, and zinc (complexed minerals) Provides Prosponse® yeast Studies have shown yeast enhances feed palatability, digestibility, and hindgut fermentation. Provides CitriStim® An ADM proprietary feed ingredient that may favorably impact the gut microbial population and body defense mechanisms. Protects body tissues from oxidative damage. The need for vitamin E is vital to immune system functioning and may be especially important for working horses as they are more prone to exercise-induced muscle damage. Research shows natural-source vitamin E is more bio-available compared with synthetic vitamin E. Better nutrient digestibility and absorption; easy-to-feed and reduces feed waste. Encourages feed consumption. Portion of vitamin E is naturalsource Pellet form Highly palatable
