Overview of Intellifarm Housing System
Intellifarm® is a newly developed housing system designed for large-scale finisher pig production. It aims to increase pig production while reducing environmental impact, thereby improving economic returns. The system supports a barn width of up to 60 meters, offering a compact and efficient design that enhances pig management.

Hybrid Ventilation System
The Intellifarm® system introduces hybrid ventilation, combining natural ventilation with floor extraction. This approach significantly reduces energy consumption by minimizing the need for mechanical fans. The system can potentially be upgraded to a zero-energy solution with the integration of solar panels.

Environmental and Animal Welfare Benefits
The system is designed to optimize air exchange, reducing ammonia and odor emissions by 75% and 60% respectively. This contributes to better animal welfare by reducing stress and improving production economics. Adjustable coverings in pigsties ensure optimal climate control, enhancing animal health.

Heating and Environmental Compliance
Heating is provided through floor heating hoses and facade window pipes, which help maintain appropriate barn temperatures and reduce humidity. The system supports environmental compliance by collecting and treating emissions, facilitating easier approval processes.

Smartfarm® Management System
The Smartfarm® system offers centralized management of ventilation, climate control, and air cleaning. It allows remote access via computers, tablets, or smartphones, streamlining operations and reducing the number of ventilators needed.

Intellifarm® has received several awards, including the EU Environment Award 2012 and the Agromek Award 2012, recognizing its innovative environmental technology for pig housing systems.
