AKVA AUrora SubLED Combi

Product catalog summary
Overview: The AKVA Aurora SubLED Combi is designed for use in cage-based aquaculture facilities. It serves multiple purposes including anti-maturation, contrast lighting, and photo tactical attraction of fish. It is particularly effective for smoltification and de-smoltification of juvenile fish.
Light Specifications: The system utilizes a combination of blue, green, and ultraviolet (UV) LED lights. Blue and green lights influence fish maturation, while white light provides contrast. UV light encourages fish to remain in deeper water, reducing louse infestation. The lights are typically placed at a depth of 10 meters and can be used throughout the fish's life cycle.
Technical Specifications:
  • Output Power: Configurations include 1 x 1200 W BGW + 1 x 150 W UV, 2 x 600 W BGW + 2 x 150 W UV, and 3 x 400 W BGW + 3 x 150 W UV.
  • Wavelengths: Blue light at 480 nm, green light at 530 nm, and UV light between 380 - 400 nm.
  • Contrast Light: 3000k warm white.
  • Time to Full Brightness: 10 - 20 minutes.
  • Dimensions: Diameter 16 cm, height 54.2 cm.
  • Weight: 6.5 kilos.
Construction and Materials: The lights are housed in an extruded and anodized aluminum control cabinet with cooling ribs and an IP 68 rating. The connections are protected by a solid rubber cover. The luminaire is made from aluminum bronze for optimal cooling and minimal fouling, with a lens made from industrial acrylic.
Installation and Use: The system is designed for use in cages and tanks of all sizes, with standard cable lengths of 35 or 55 meters. It features a streamlined design to reduce hooking risks and includes a seal gland with vulcanized cable entry.
