PR Pressure Reducing Control Valve

PR Pressure Reducing Control Valve

Product catalog summary
Description: The Armaş 'PR' model pressure reducing control valve is designed to reduce high upstream pressure to a desired lower pressure using built-in pressure reducing pilot valves. It maintains constant downstream pressure regardless of flow rate and upstream pressure changes. The valve automatically closes when no flow is present and fully opens if upstream pressure drops below the set downstream pressure. It can be installed vertically or horizontally.
Installation: The valve's nominal diameter should match or be one size smaller than the line diameter. It should be mounted in the direction indicated by the arrow on the valve. Recommended components for line-mounting include insulation valves, air relief valves, quick pressure relief valves, and strainer valves. Cavitation risks should be managed by adjusting downstream pressure according to cavitation data or consulting technical services.
Adjustment Procedure: To adjust the valve, operate the pump, open the main valve, and deliver water to the system. Adjust the downstream pressure using the adjustment bolt on the pilot valve, referring to the pressure gauge. Tighten the contra nut after setting the desired pressure and ensure continuous monitoring of the downstream pressure.
Failure Causes and Corrections: Common issues include the valve not opening, not closing, or not regulating. Solutions involve checking and adjusting ball valves, replacing diaphragms, cleaning clogged components, and replacing faulty pressure gauges.
Maintenance: Regular checks of system operating conditions and the finger filter are recommended. Drain water from the actuator if the valve is not used in winter.
Order Information: When ordering, provide details such as maximum flow rate, network pressure, main line size, valve connection type, and desired downstream pressure. A sample order form is provided for reference.

PR Pressure Reducing Control Valve-1

pressure reducing control valve Pressure Reducing Pilot Valve Ball Valves In-line Finger Filter Pressure Gauge Adjustment Bolt description Armaş “PR” model pressure reducing control valve is the hydraulic control valve which reduces high upstream pressure value into desired lower pressure value by means of built-in pressure reducing pilot valves. Pressure reducer control valve controls downstream pressure value continuously and maintains it constant without being affected from flow rate and upstream pressure values. When no flow exists in the system, it is closer by itself automatically. When valve upstream pressure value decreases below adjusted downstream pressure value, it is opened fully by itself. Valve may be user in vertical and horizontal positions in the system. installation •Valve nominal diameter must equal to or one size smaller than line diameter.. •Mount valve in direction of arrow indicated on it. •It is recommended that insulation valves (butterfly or gate valves etc.), air relief valve, quick pressure relief valve (QR) and strainer valves will be used in line-mounting of valve. •During pressure decrease, cavitation risk is dangerous for valve body. Adjust downstream pressure value by referring cavitation data or consult our technical service. 3 1 Isolation Valve (Gate, Butterfly Valve etc.) 1 3 Pressure Reducing Valve 4 Air Valve 5 Quick Pressure Relie

adjustment • Operate pump, open main valve on network and deliver water to the system. • Open ball valve indicated with "b1" and close ball valve indicated with "b2" • Wait for a while until water reach valve control chamber. When water reach control chamber, pressure gauge will show a certain pressure value. • Adjust desired downstream pressure value by means of adjustment bolt with"e"on pilot valve indicated with "a"by referring pressure gauge indicated with "d" • When you turn adjustment bolt clockwise, downstream pressure value will increase and when you turn adjustment bolt counter - clockwise...
