PREL Solenoid Controlled Pressure Reducing Valve

Product catalog summary
Description: The Armaş "PREL" model pressure reducing valve is a hydraulic control valve designed to reduce high upstream pressure to a desired lower pressure. It utilizes built-in 3/2-way solenoid pilot valves for control, which can be automated using control devices, time relays, main switches, and PLC control units.
Installation: Ensure proper cable connections for the solenoid pilot valve and align the valve with the pipeline. Install the valve in the direction indicated by the arrow. It is recommended to use insulation valves, air relief valves, quick pressure relief valves, and strainer valves in the line-mounting process. Be cautious of cavitation risks during pressure reduction and adjust downstream pressure accordingly.
Adjustment: Operate the pump and open the main valve to deliver water. Adjust the downstream pressure using the adjustment bolt on the pilot valve, referring to the pressure gauge. After setting the desired pressure, secure the adjustment bolt and open the ball valve to deliver water into the system.
Failure Causes and Corrections:
  • Valve not opening: Check and open ball valves, ensure adequate upstream pressure, adjust the pilot valve bolt, verify solenoid voltage, and replace the coil if necessary.
  • Valve not closing: Inspect and replace the diaphragm, remove foreign substances from the disc seat, clean connections, and check the manual control screw.
  • Valve does not regulate: Clean or replace clogged parts, such as the pilot valve orifice and pressure gauge.
Maintenance: Regularly check system operating conditions and the finger filter based on water quality. Drain water from the actuator if the valve is unused during winter.
Sample Order Form: Specify model, connection size, control feature, additional features, and options when ordering. Include maximum flow rate, network pressure, line size, valve connection type, upstream and downstream pressures, and electric voltage value.
Solenoid Pilot Valve Specifications: Available in brass (16 bar) and plastic (12 bar) with various voltage and power options. Ensure to provide necessary information to the sales department when ordering.

solenoid controlled pressure reducing valve a Pressure Reducing Pilot Valve b Ball Valves c In-line Finger Filter d Solenoid Pilot Valve e Pressure Gauge f Adjustment Bolt description Armaş“PREL” model pressure reducing valve is the hydraulic control valve which reduces high upstream pressure value into desired lower pressure value. Control of main valve is achieved by means of built-in 3/2 -way solenoid pilot valves. Electric signal for solenoid pilot valves is ensured by means of a control device, time relay, main switch and PLC control units etc. Automated control may be easily ensured by this way in application systems. installation • Connect cables of solenoid pilot valve in accordance with control device. • Make sure that valve is on a level with the pipeline while mounting it. • Mount valve in direction of arrow indicated on it. • It is recommended that insulation valves (butterfly or gate valves etc.), air relief valve, quick pressure relief valve (QR) and strainer valves will be used in line-mounting of valve (See sample montage illustration). • During pressure decrease, cavitation risk is dangerous for valve body. Adjust downstream pressure value by referring cavitation data or consult our technical service. 2 Air Valve 3 Watermeter 4 Filter 5 Solenoid Controlled Pressure Reducing Valve
