Process Description
The seeding process utilizes gravity, with seeds placed in hoppers feeding a vibration plate. Seeds are vibrated along guiding fingers onto a rotating shaft, which picks up one seed per cavity. The shaft rotates 180˚ to drop the seed into seeding tubes, which are fixed to a seeding plate with nozzles. The plate lowers onto the tray, depositing one seed per cell, and then returns to its original position.
