Assembly Instructions Overview
This document provides detailed assembly and operating instructions for the MX-V Chute, including contact information for customer service.

1. Side Exit Chute
The side exit chute allows animals to exit safely and quickly. It features a latch with a rope for operation from the opposite side. The gate swings open automatically due to the slant of the side panel and can be closed by returning the chute to the squeezed position, securing the gate with the latch.

2. Drop Down Access Panels
These panels provide full access to the lower portion of the animal. They can be opened by rotating latch plates upward, allowing the panel to rotate downward. To close, rotate the panel back up and lock with the latch plates.

3. Headgate Mounting Instructions
Any Behlen Country Headgate can be mounted to the MX-V Squeeze Chute using the supplied bolts and nuts.

4. Floor Adjustment
The floor can be adjusted to nine different settings by lifting the floor adjustment lockdown plates and setting the sides to the desired spacing.

5. Tailgate Operation
The tailgate features a latch that can be released by pulling a rope, allowing the gate to rise for access. It can be locked in either open or closed positions.

6. Squeeze Operation
The squeeze operation is performed by pulling down on the overhead handle, moving the sides inward. The ratchet release handle locks the sides in place. To release, apply pressure to the overhead handle, pull the ratchet handle, and raise the overhead handle.

7. Drop Down Bars
Each side has four drop down bars for larger access points. They can be opened by lifting the drop bar latch and closed by rotating them back to their original position, where they automatically lock.

The gate will swing open by itself due to the slant of the side panel and will remain open on its own. The side gate can be closed from the opposite side by returning the chute to the squeezed position. This causes the gate to lean inward toward the chute and will firmly engage the latch, properly securing the gate. (View 6A). Drop Down Access Panels These panels (on each side) allow full access to the lower portion of the animal. Two latch plates (view 7B) can be easily rotated upward allowing the panel to rotate downward toward the ground. This also provides for a clean working surface when open. To close the panel, rotate the panel back upward and let the latch plates swing down over them to lock them into place.
