Product catalog summary
Noise Measurements and General Safety: The document begins with guidelines on noise measurements and general safety, referencing manual 82.471 for detailed safety, checks, and maintenance instructions.
Technical Characteristics: The crop sprayer features a mechanically welded chassis with epoxy paint, a 1000-litre high-density polyethylene main tank, and an electric centrifuge pump. It includes electric cab control for pump power and valve selection, and high-beam lights for Highway Code compliance.
Nameplate and Weight: The nameplate on the chassis details the type, capacity, and control type. The empty weight is 220 kg, with a gross vehicle weight rating of 1250 kg.
Dimensions: Detailed dimensions of the sprayer, including overall length, width, and height with and without wheels, are provided.
Safety Stickers: Emphasizes maintaining safety stickers in good condition to highlight potential dangers and refers to the user manual for their meanings.
Commissioning the Crop Sprayer: Includes pre-use checks, such as ensuring no foreign bodies in the tank, and instructions for hitching the machine to a tractor.
Using the Crop Sprayer: Covers rinsing before first use, filling and incorporating products, operation, and rinsing the tank. Instructions for handling wheels and using the tube gauge for water levels are included.
Crop Sprayer Maintenance: Offers advice for maintaining the sprayer, including frost protection, pre-spraying checks, and end-of-spraying maintenance. Regular cleaning is stressed to prevent residue spread and ensure even product distribution.
Maintenance Diagrams: Diagrams for spray and electrical circuits aid in maintenance and troubleshooting.
Frost Protection and Pre-Spraying Checks: Before the spraying season, ensure the tightness of nuts on the subframe, inspect pipes for leaks, check seals and connectors, and verify the transfer flow rate. Reduce engine speed or add an anti-foam additive to prevent foam formation.
Cleaning Procedure: Regularly rinse the exterior of the spray tank and tractor. Clean the tank with 20% water and detergent, let it sit, then rinse thoroughly.
End-of-Spraying Maintenance: Add only necessary water and product for the remaining field area. Protect the machine from rust and rinse with a high-pressure jet wash after spraying.
Wintering the Crop Sprayer: Clean the sprayer, rinse the circuit, drain the tank, and protect against frost. Grease metal parts, deoxidize electric plug contacts, and repaint bare parts. Store on a stable, flat surface away from sunlight and bad weather.
Maintenance Diagrams: Diagrams detail components such as the VEC block, valves, tanks, and pumps, illustrating processes of filling, mixing, and transferring liquids.
Contact Information: For assistance, contact BERTHOUD Agricole at their Belleville location in France, with provided contact details.
