Product catalog summary
Overview: This document provides comprehensive information on polycarbonate sheets and fiberglass laminates, detailing their applications, characteristics, and technical specifications. These materials are widely used in industrial, agricultural, and residential construction.
Polycarbonate Sheets:
  • Characteristics: These sheets are lightweight, transparent, UV-protected, impact-resistant, and fire-resistant, making them suitable for roofing and curtain walls in industrial and agricultural settings.
  • Applications: Commonly used in greenhouses, skylights, and architectural designs for natural lighting and aesthetic purposes.
  • Technical Specifications: They have a density of 1.2 kg/dm3, operate within a temperature range of -40°C to 120°C, and offer 90% light transmission.
  • Installation: Proper tools should be used for cutting, with sheets overlapped correctly and fixed using screws and gaskets. The UV-protected side must face outward.
Fiberglass Laminates (Elyplast):
  • Characteristics: These laminates offer high mechanical strength, low thermal expansion, and resistance to atmospheric and chemical agents. They are available in translucent or opaque versions.
  • Applications: Ideal for roofs, skylights, curtain walls, and water treatment facilities, used in industrial, agricultural, and DIY projects.
  • Technical Specifications: They have a density of 1.4 kg/dm3, a temperature range from -40°C to 120°C, and light transmission varies by color.
  • Installation: Easy to handle and install, suitable for various profiles and dimensions. They require protection from sun and rain when stored outdoors.
Opaque Fiberglass Sheets (Elyonda):
  • Characteristics: These sheets are 100% opaque, gelcoat protected, highly resistant to chemicals, and have low noise transmission.
  • Applications: Used for roofs, vertical curtain walls, and false ceilings in agricultural and industrial buildings.
  • Technical Specifications: They weigh between 3.2 to 4.2 kg/m2, operate within a temperature range of -60°C to 140°C, and have a fire reaction class of C S3 D0.
Surface Protection for Elyplast Sheets: Elyplast sheets can be protected using methods like a gelcoat made from isophthalic resin for resistance to pollutants and shock, or a polyester film for weather abrasion resistance. An anti-UV polyester film is also available.
Elyonda Ribbed Sheets: Available in colors such as green, brick red, and light grey, these sheets are protected with either a polyester film (Elyonda LT) or a gelcoat layer (Elyonda XLT) for enhanced resistance.
Installation Guidelines for Elyonda LT/XLT: Installation should start from the gutter to the ridge with an overlap of at least 200 mm, increasing to 250 mm for slopes under 10%. Holes for screws should be drilled 2 mm larger than the screw diameter to allow for thermal expansion. Sheets can be laid on wood, metal, or concrete using appropriate fixings, but they cannot be walked on.
Technical Specifications: Elyonda LT sheets weigh 1.30 kg/m² with a width of 1,200 mm, while Elyonda XLT sheets weigh 1.00 kg/m² with a width of 900 mm. Both types have lengths ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 mm.
Accessories: The Elyplast range includes finishing elements like ridges, washers, gaskets, and screws, available in various colors and styles.
Elyplast Fiberglass Curved Sheets: Designed for curved roofing applications in agricultural and industrial buildings, tunnels, and covered walkways, available in different sizes and bending radii.
Recommendations: Ensure roofing spaces are protected with metallic nets as per UNI 494 standards. Avoid laying sheets in strong winds and using unsuitable products on surfaces. Do not expose sheets to flames or walk on them without proper weight distribution.
Quality Assurance: The product is ISO 9001:2015 certified, ensuring a high standard of quality management. For the latest technical data, refer directly to the company.

ELYSOL LAYING CUTTING THE SHEETS The Elysol sheets can be cut using a high-speed circular saw with small teeth or a jigsaw or shears, making sure to support the sheet near the cutting point and to remove any dust generated. The laying sequence is always from bottom to top and in the opposite direction to the prevailing winds. Allow for an overlap of one wave or one rib on the sides, and a minimum distance of 120 mm along the length. Always lay the UV-protected side towards the outside. The Elysol sheets must be fixed at the top of the wave or rib using the screws and gaskets supplied. To correctly...
