The PGC FLEX is a versatile plant growth chamber designed for flexibility in research applications. It can be configured as a single-tier chamber with high light intensity and upward airflow, or converted to a double or triple-tier setup with medium light intensity and horizontal airflow. Lighting
The standard single-tier configuration uses T5 fluorescent and halogen incandescent lamps, providing a broad light spectrum with an intensity of 1125 micromoles/m2/s. In multi-tier configurations, the light intensity is reduced to 500 micromoles/m2/s. Light output is monitored by a quantum light meter.

Airflow
The PGC FLEX offers two airflow configurations: upward airflow from the Unifloor™ plenum in single-tier mode, and horizontal airflow from a back wall plenum in multi-tier modes. Adjustable fresh air intake and exhaust ports are included.

Refrigeration
The chamber features a top-mounted water-cooled condensing unit with hot gas bypass for continuous operation. An electronic modulating valve ensures precise temperature control. Alternative refrigeration methods are available upon request.

Experiment Protection
User-programmable alarms monitor chamber conditions against set points, providing visual and audible alerts for deviations. Backup alarms and building management system connections enhance protection.
