We asked him to disassemble the APE (Bee), the lightest of our mower, and give us his opinion. TRANSMISSION The gearbox, rather than aluminium gearbox which often su ers from leaks, this is made of a much more robust cast iron. DELEKS choose SHELL as supplier of the lubricant, also very high quality. The transmission system is great, and it is very easy to place in tension or replace the belts. APE is a lovely, simple product and extremely e ective.

ROTOR SHAFT APE is a great entry level product, to that mean, has been kept as simple as possible. But there is a big di erence from the other mowers in this market sector. The rotor shaft has a lot of hammers. Ordinarily you would expect to ind much sort of lighter duty blades, normally you'd ind a pair of them. Because Deleks uses the Italian Arvedi steel shafts – they are much straighter and have much better linearity so they’re easier to balance, but they’re also much stronger, so that they can handle the force and the power of all the hammers.
