Performance Graph Summary

The document includes a performance graph illustrating the relationship between flow rate (Q in m³/h) and pressure drop (ΔP in bar and psi). Key observations from the graph data points are:

  • At higher flow rates, the pressure drop decreases from approximately 7.2 psi to 1.4 psi.
  • The flow rate ranges from 0 to 132 m³/h (0 to approximately 580 gpm).
  • The pressure drop varies inversely with flow rate, indicating system efficiency characteristics.

Series DA - Self cleaning disc filters-1

General Characteristics The filtration grade ranges from 100 to 200 microns. Their anti corrosive protection includes surface treatment using phosphoric acids followed by electrostatic polyesteric paint, while other available paint and material options are also available pending request. The product is supplied with multiple couplings and flanges options availability (DIN,ASA, etc) conforminng to all required international standars. The maximum operating pressure is 10 bars (145 psi). DROP Filtration Systems Irrigation Equipment SELF CLEANING DISC FILTERS The self cleaning filter systems of DA series are used for surface water filtration. The systems are comprised of 2 or more units of disc filters. The automation supplies the userwith the advantage of not having to intervene in the cleaning process of the filters while simultaneusly having constant water flow rate during the irrigation process even while the filter is being cleaned. Generaly Speaking, the self cleaning disc filters (DA series) are mainly used in occasions where the contamination particles are lighter than water (eg algae and seaweeds) with minimum maintenance requirements. DA series The water is filtered by a battery of concentric grooved discs that operates in two stages: the water is primarily filtered by the large outer surface of the cartridge where the larger and heavier particles are withholded followed by the grooved surface of the discs where the smaller and lighter organic particles are withheld. 1F: Contaminated water enters the main body ofthefilterthrough the inlet pipe. 2F: The discs are pressurized by the lid at the upper end of the internal element. 3F: Rotation outcome: While the water flows through the water wheel at the base of the internal element its blades transfer large angular velocity which forces the particles away from the discs. The above effect increases the time interval of the regular cleaning cycle of the filter. 4F: In depth filtration: Some of the particles accumulate circumferrential to the discs. Water flows through the only outlet of the internal element, the longtitudinal grooves of the discs, which entrap the remaining particles. The water flows through the discs onto the outlet, and the discs are set to be cleaned during the next cleaning cycle. B) CLEANING The cleaning of the filters is controlled by a programmable control unit and includes a differential manometer that sets the required cleaning cycle of the system. 1L: The lid is lifted hydraulicly and decompresses the discs. 2L:Uniform cleaning is applied through the rotating jets that spray and clean the discs. The particle contaminated water exits the main body of the filter through the inlet pipe. 3L: When the cleaning cycle is completed the discs are compressed again and the system returns to the filtration mode. Similarly, the cleaning cycle starts for the next filter of the system.
