Series KE - Compact filtration systems

Product catalog summary
Applications and Operation
The KE series compact filtration systems are designed for the removal of large amounts of inorganic particles, primarily used in water from drillings or wells. The system integrates a hydrocyclone and a screen or disk filter, functioning as a complete unit ready for installation in irrigation systems. The hydrocyclone uses centrifugal force to separate heavier particles, which are collected at the bottom, while the remaining water is further filtered for finer particles. Additionally, the system includes a fertilizing control head for fertilization processes.

Materials and Coating
The body of the system is constructed from longitudinally welded steel pipe and steel sheet, with options for other materials upon request. Surface pre-treatment involves chemical processes, and the coating is applied using polyester powder or epoxy painting if requested.

Cleaning Procedures
Cleaning can be manual or automatic. Manual cleaning involves using a gate valve or removing the filter cartridge for washing. Automatic cleaning kits are available, and models with brushes allow for easy cleaning by opening the drain valve.

Model Specifications
The document lists various models with different inlet/outlet connections, flow rates, and maximum pressure. All models operate at a maximum pressure of 8 bar (116 psi). The flow rates range from 5.12 m3/h to 150 m3/h, depending on the model.

Dimensions
Dimensions and weights for each model are provided, with the smallest model weighing 23 kg (50.7 lbs) and the largest 220 kg (485 lbs). The dimensions vary significantly, accommodating different installation requirements.

Note
The weights provided are specific to models with O series filters.

Series KE - Compact filtration systems-1

APPLICATIONS The compact filtration systems KE series consist of a hydrocyclone and a screen (O, K) or disk filter. These series of systems are mainly used for the removal of large amounts of inorganic particles. They installed usually in waters from drillings or wells. MATERIALS Body: Longitudinally welded steel pipe (DIN2440, DIN2458), steel sheet (st37-2 DIN 17100). Other materials upon request. COATING Surface pre-treatment: Chemical (acid de-oxidation, phosphate). Polyester powder applied by electrostatic spraying gun. Epoxy painting upon request. The system is a complete unit which can be installed immediately to the irrigation system. When the dirty water enters into the hydrocyclone the centrifugal force causes the particles to spin at high speed onto the filter walls in a tangential direction. The particles are accumulated into the collection chamber at the bottom of the filter. The water which has been cleaned from the heavier particles passes to the outlet to be filtered of finer and lighter particles by the screen or disk filter. The system comprises also a fertilizing control head which allows to make fertilization using a fertilizing tank or a dosing pump. Cleaning The particles are accumulated to the collection chamber at the bottom of the hydrocyclone. The cleaning process can be manual with the use of a simple gate valve or automatic using an automatic cleaning kit. The screen or disk filters can be cleaned manually, removing the cartridge from the filter and by spraying with water or with the help of a bristle bush. In models which operate with brush (p&p and rotating) just open the drain valve and use the brush to clean the cartridge.
