General Characteristics The filtration grade ranges from 1000 to 8000 microns. Their anti corrosive protection includes surface treatment using phosphoric acids followed by electrostatic polyesteric paint, while other available paint and material options are also available pending request. The product is supplied with multiple couplings and flanges options availability (DIN,ASA, etc) conforminng to all required international standars. The maximum operating pressure is 12 bars (174 psi). They are available in other specifications, such as self cleaning version. DROP Filtration Systems Irrigation Equipment The SY series filters are pre-filters and they have been designed to protect the water pumps, control valves and finer filtration systems from greater dimension particles that they are capable of inflicting serious damages in the main water network. This series filters are recomended for installation in central water pipelines (water supply, irrigation, etc) where pressures up to 12 bars may be applied. Their internal element comprises of perforated stainless steel sheet with filtration characteristics ranging from 1 to 8 mm particles size withhold capability. The filter is cleaned manually, by means of opening the drain vane at the lid, during the irrigation proccess, or for finer cleaning, the inner cartridge should be dissasembled and washed with water. Furthermore, a self washing system "autoflush" can be added to the filter so that the grade of clogging can be controled and the filter can be given the orderto self clean automatically. Operating function: Contaminated water enters from the inlet(1) and flows through the concave surface of the perforated sheet(2). Flowing through the perforated sheet exits by the outlet of the filter(3). The filtered particles particles are concentrated on the surface of the perforated sheet. When the drain vane is opened (4) (or the cleaning cycle is activated by the controller), part of the filtered water flows backward through the perforated sheet driving of the filtered particles. Furthermore part of the water flows transversally to the perforated sheet carrying off the filtered particles to the drain.
