Polyethylene Pipes

Polyethylene Pipes

Polyethylene Pipes

Product catalog summary
Overview: This document provides technical specifications for polyethylene pipes used in low- and high-pressure water supply, conveyance of suitable fluids, and irrigation systems. It covers both metric and imperial series, pressure ratings, joining methods, available lengths, materials, and coding for polyethylene pipes.
Specifications:
  • Range: Metric series from 16 to 250 mm; Imperial series from 1/2" to 1".
  • Pressure Rating: Pipes are rated from 1 to 25 bar at 20°C. The maximum working pressure is influenced by the SDR (diameter/thickness ratio), safety coefficient C, and the MRS of the pipe material. Adjustments are necessary for higher temperatures.
  • Joining Methods: Pipes ranging from 16 to 110 mm can be joined using Elysee polypropylene compression fittings. Larger diameters require butt fusion welding or electrofusion type fittings.
  • Lengths Available: Pipes are available in straight lengths of 6 and 12 meters or coils of 31.5, 61, 75, 100, and 200 meters.
  • Materials: Low (PE32 & PE40), Medium, and High (PE80 & PE100) Density Polyethylene. Approved for potable water supply systems. Black PE pipes are UV resistant and offer excellent chemical resistance.
Standards and Codes:
  • Pipes are manufactured according to EN 12201 standard, using a safety factor of 1.25.
  • Example code: Order code 33 125 075 100 represents a 100m coil of high-density (PE 80) polyethylene pipe with a 75mm nominal diameter and 12.5 bar nominal pressure.
Pressure Reduction Factor: A graph indicates the pressure reduction factor for different polyethylene materials (PE 100, PE 80, PE 63, PE 40, PE 32) across temperatures ranging from 20 to 40 degrees Celsius.
Dripline and Coils: The document includes detailed tables listing codes, descriptions, and specifications for integrated driplines and coils, including nominal diameters, wall thicknesses, and maximum lateral lengths.
Additional Information: The document references various standards such as CYS 106, BS 1972, and CYS EN 12201, and provides detailed tables for different pressure ratings (PN4, PN6, PN9, PN12.5, PN16) with corresponding dimensions and weights.

Polyethylene Pipes-1

Polyethylene Pipes Description: Range : Pressure Rating: Polyethylene pipes for low- and high- pressure water supply, conveyance of other suitable fluids and irrigation systems. Metric series from Ø16 up to Ø 250 mm, Imperial series from Ø1/2" up to Ø1” Pipes are available with pressure rating from 1 up to 25 bar at 20°C. Maximum working pressure is related to the SDR (diameter/thickness ratio), the safety coefficient C and the MRS of the pipe material. Pressure Reduction Factor The pressure rating has to be adjusted as shown in the figure below, if the pipes are to be used at higher temperatures. 1 0.9 0.8 0.7 0.6 0.5 0.4 0.3 0.2 0.1 0 20 Temperature (degrees Celsius) PE 100 Pipes in the range Ø 16 – Ø110 mm can be joined using Elysee polypropylene compression fittings. Larger diameter pipes can be joined either by butt fusion welding or with electrofusion type fittings. Lengths available: Straight lengths of 6 and 12 m or coils of 31,50, 61, 75, 100 and 200 m. Materials: Low (PE32 & PE40),Medium and High (PE80 & PE100) Density Polyethylene. PE pipes are approved for use in potable water supply systems. Black PE pipes are suitable for exposure to sun light ( UV ) and give excellent chemical resistance. Please refer to technical catalogue for specific data sheets. Code for PE Pipes: The code for PE pipes reads as follows: χχ Pipe standard material and safety factor Pipe nominal pressure Pipe nominal diameter Length of pipe coil Example: Order code 33 125 075 100 stands for:100m coil of high-density ( PE 80 ) polyethylene pipe 75mm nominal diameter and 12,5 bar nominal pressure, which is manufactured according to EN 12201 standard, using safety fa
