Product catalog summary
Overview
Laura is a medium early, red-skinned potato variety known for its deep yellow flesh and high culinary quality. It is often referred to as the "queen of red skin" due to its appealing appearance and aromatic taste. Laura potatoes are suitable for firm cooking and have good storability.

Growing Recommendations
Laura potatoes thrive in average to better soil conditions with a consistent supply of water and nutrients. The recommended row width for planting is 75 cm to 90 cm, with a planting depth that supports good dormancy. It is sensitive to sprout breaking, and a brief temperature shock before planting is beneficial. Seed dressing should be approached with caution, as Laura may be sensitive to certain active ingredients.

Planting and Care
Laura is sensitive to the herbicide Metribuzin, both pre- and post-emergence, so its use should be avoided. The foliage has average health, requiring timely and regular fungicide applications to prevent late blight. Harvesting should be delayed by about a week to ensure skin stability, and the potatoes should be completely dry before washing.

Fertilization
Nitrogen should be applied at a high level compared to local standards, with two-thirds before planting and one-third later. Phosphorus should be applied at 100 kg/ha, and Potassium at 350-270 kg/ha, with split doses on lighter soils. Magnesium is recommended at 70 kg/ha for yield and quality assurance.

Variety Characteristics
Laura potatoes have an oval shape with shallow eyes, smooth red skin, and deep yellow flesh. They are mainly firm cooking with excellent flavor. The variety shows resistance to several strains of Potato Cyst Nematode (Ro1, Ro2/3, Ro4, Ro5) and Potato Wart Disease. It offers medium to high tuber yield with uniform marketable yields.

Sensitivities
Laura has low to medium sensitivity to common scab, spraing, bruising, and mechanical damage. It develops rapidly in youth and has good dormancy.
