The Airhat is a specialized cover designed for slurry storage, manufactured by Genap BV. It is constructed from high-quality, watertight, reinforced PVC foil, which is resistant to heat and UV radiation.
The Airhat is attached to a metal ring on top of a silo and sealed to the tank wall. It is inflated using a small electric fan with power consumption equivalent to a 150W light bulb. When fully inflated, it forms a dome shape that effectively sheds precipitation and minimizes odour emissions.
