Anti-algae floating cover for silo During storage, water becomes contaminated with algae which results in irrigation systems becoming blocked and all of the consequences that entails. Genap has a number of solutions for this in its product range. These cover systems are an appropriate solution for combating algae growth, they also prevent evaporation and to a large extent they prevent contamination of the water. The floating cover can be used on all silos with a diameter from 1.85 metres up to and including 30.95 metres. The cover fits inside a silo and has a reinforced edge with rings (centre to centre 50 cm) and securing cord. For buoyancy a PVC tube rack has to be fitted, around which the cover can be tensioned. The tube rack is not included. The floating cover is available for silos that are installed inside or outside. The covers are made from Genatex 700, which is an open woven fabric that is water permeable but which keeps out dirt and light.
