Genafloat

Product catalog summary
Overview
The Genafloat® is a durable floating cover designed for water reservoirs to prevent algae growth, evaporation, and wave formation. It is constructed from Aquatex® EX, a high-grade polyolefin foil, providing significant protection against sunlight.

Construction
The cover features a water-filled buoyancy tube made of PE at its edge, enhancing its buoyancy and resistance to external factors like dirt. The buoyancy tube also acts as a wind barrier. Small holes in the cover allow for rainwater drainage, and it is secured in place using elastic cords anchored to the reservoir's dike.

Uses
The Genafloat® is ideal for use in excavated rainwater storage reservoirs.

Benefits
  • Prevents algae growth.
  • Reduces evaporation, leading to increased water yield.
  • Minimizes wave formation, allowing for higher water levels.
  • Prevents deposits on the smooth foil surface.
  • Quick and easy installation.
  • Low maintenance requirements.

Genafloat-1

Prevents the growth of algae, evaporation and wave formation A durable anti-algae floating cover The Genafloat® is a long-lasting floating cover for water reservoirs which prevents algae growth. The cover is made from Aquatex® EX, a high-grade polyolefin foil. The cover provides a high degree of protection for the water against (sun) light and therefore prevents the growth of algae. The Genafloat® also prevents wave formation and evaporation from occurring in the reservoir. Construction The Genafloat® is made from a sheet that has a water-filled buoyancy tube (PE) edge. The cover’s own buoyancy is increased in order to offer increased resistance against overburden from dirt for example; the buoyancy tube provides the buoyancy and the ballast as a barrier against the wind. stakes. The cover has the shape of the bottom of the reservoir and moves along with the change in the water level. Uses The Genafloat® is preferably used on excavated rainwater storage reservoirs. Benefits ● Prevents algae growth ● Reduces evaporation; increased yield ● Reduces wave formation; higher water levels possible ● No deposits of growth on the smooth foil ● Quick and easy to fit ● Low maintenance The cover contains small holes for rainwater drainage. It is positioned/centred in the reservoir using elastic cords that are anchored into the crest of the dike using Genap BV – PO Box 27 – NL 7040 AA ’s-Heerenberg – T +31 314 661644 - sale
