Steel mesh storage tank - 1

Steel mesh storage tank The walls of this type of tank are built from 3m long hot-dip galvanised elements. The silo is easy to build and is supplied in volumes of 192 to 1695m3. The tank is ideal for installation on surfaces with low load-bearing capacities; a concrete base is not always necessary. The steel mesh wall is built 0.5 metres below ground level on a simple ring foundation of concrete slabs or tiles. This tank meets the European construction guidelines for slurry storage and is provided with a system certificate (55381) from the Dutch certification authority KIWA (55381). Tank liner This slurry store liner consists of a 1 mm thick Fecatex® PVC film for the bottom and Genatex® 850, reinforced PVC film, for the walls. These types of foil are specifically designed for contact with slurry and organic liquids. The liner has an edge with an overlap of Genatex® with stainless steel rings. The liner is secured to the tank with a dralon cord. Use of this liner guarantees a slurry-resistant system and prevents contamination of groundwater. A HDPE layer is laid between the steel wall and the tank liner to protect the liner. Depending on the surface on which the tank is installed, a protective felt is also laid on the bottom. Tank cover Genap offers a number of steel mesh tank cover options. The most widely used budget-friendly choice for slurry storage is the Genap floating cover.
