Product Overview
The GrainSense Go is a handheld grain analyzer designed to measure the quality of cereal grains and other crops quickly. It assesses protein, moisture, carbohydrates, and oil contents using Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy.

Technical Specifications
  • Size and Weight: Handheld device with a footprint of 270 mm x 115 mm, weighing 820 grams without batteries.
  • Power: Operates on 6 AA batteries, supporting 50 to 100 measurements per charge.
  • Measurement Principle: Utilizes near-infrared transmittance spectroscopy with a sample size of approximately 3 grams.
  • Measurement Time: Approximately 30 seconds per sample.
  • Supported Species: Wheat, barley, oats, rye, rapeseed, sunflower seeds, maize, and soybean.
  • Operational Conditions: Functions between +5 to +45°C and 20 to 90% RH (non-condensing).
  • Storage Temperature: -10 to +60°C.
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth LE 5.0, compatible with Android/iOS applications.

Key Features
  • Patented integrating sphere technology enhances light intensity for accurate measurements.
  • Compact and portable design suitable for outdoor use, though raindrops on the sample tray can affect moisture results.
  • Supports Over-the-Air Firmware Updates (OTA FU) via the GrainSense Mobile Application.

System Components
  • GrainSense Go Analyzer: Measures grain quality and interacts with the mobile app for data transfer and updates.
  • GrainSense Mobile Application: Connects to the cloud for uploading calibrations and settings, and sends measurement results to the cloud database.
  • GrainSense Cloud/Database: Stores measurement results and provides updated calibrations/settings to the analyzer.

Tutkijantie 9, 90590 Oulu, Finland www.grainsense.com email: [email protected] GrainSense Go Grain analyzer The GrainSense Go analyzer measures the quality of cereal grains and other crops in seconds: protein, moisture, carbohydrates, and oil contents* * Percentages are calculated on a dry, wet or fixed basis, based on country guidelines. Sampling tray The technical principle is Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy in the so-called third overtone wavelength range. This technique has been used in laboratory instruments for years. GrainSense is the first to realize such an instrument in a handheld format. Integrated sphere Because of the patented sampling technology (grain inside an “integrating sphere”) the light intensity arriving at the detector is several hundred times higher than otherwise possible. This enables the building of a small, battery-operated analyzer, certified for the use of rechargeable AA batteries. Kernels
