Udder Dry Maximum protection at drying off! Udder Dry Udder Dry is an external teat sealant that effectively and efﬁciently closes the teat canal. During the dry period, Udder Dry forms an effective barrier against external pathogens. The dry period is a very risky time for cattle. When a cow is dried off, she is no longer milked and therefore no longer cleaned and disinfected on a daily basis. In addition, any milk leakage and insufﬁcient levels of hygiene during the dry off period mean the teat canal is extremely vulnerable to bacteria and new infections. Udder Dry remains on the teat for three to ﬁve days and offers the dry cow extra protection against new infections during this high risk period. Udder Dry is applied at the moment of dry off and 7-10 days before calving. The teat is covered by a clearly visible, breathable protective layer that forms an effective barrier against environmental bacteria and reduces milk leakage. The seal is applied externally and reduces the risk of new infections.
