Product catalog summary
Introduction
Hermes has been a prominent manufacturer of mulching machines since 1975, particularly known for the HM series. These machines are celebrated for their reliability, strength, and efficiency in grass cutting, making them essential in both European and global agriculture.

HM Series Overview
The HM series includes various models and versions, offering flexibility and customization for different agricultural requirements. They are designed to save time and fuel with efficient cutting systems, featuring a robust transmission system, strong fibreglass covering, and a belt-driven mechanism that acts as a clutch to absorb excess torque.

Fisarmonica Series
The newly introduced Fisarmonica series addresses modern agricultural challenges by providing quick grass cutting and reduced fuel consumption. These machines are highly efficient, cutting costs and time by two-thirds compared to traditional hammer mowers. They are adaptable, with hydraulically controlled lateral wings to fit varying row widths.

Technical Specifications
HM machines come in configurations with no swing disk, one swing disk, or two swing disks, each suited for different scenarios. They feature a transmission system with belts and pulleys, ensuring low maintenance costs. The swing disks offer flexibility and safety by retracting when encountering obstacles.

Model Variations
Hermes provides a wide range of models with specific features such as adjustable cutting widths, hydraulic cutting adjustments, and optional herbicide sprayers. These machines are designed to meet diverse agricultural needs, from cutting grass under low-hanging branches to maintaining solar panel areas.

Conclusion
Hermes continues to innovate in agricultural machinery, offering high-quality, reliable, and efficient mulching machines that meet the evolving needs of modern agriculture.

Mulching machines Circular (disk) mulching machines are Hermes’s crowning achievement, available in the HM (Hermes Mulching) series and now in the Fisarmonica series, the company’s latest addition. Hermes started producing the HM series in 1975, to respond to the demand for machines that could cut grass quickly and effectively. By then, one of its founding partners, also a designer, already had a good understanding of farmers’ requirements and anticipated their needs. In the late 70s, Hermes was already producing state of the art machines that quickly became a reference in the industry. HM machines...

fisarmonica able for all types of work: from the standard machine with no swing disk, to, the versions with one and two swing disks. These machines are perfectly suited for today’s farming needs: they allow to save time and fuel as their cutting system is fast and very effective. To this day, the machines in the HM series maintain the same characteristics that made them the perfect mulching machines forty years ago. Maximum flexibility: this is one of HM machines’ main characteristics. 18 models, over 75 different versions and a complete range of options that allow agricultural firms to personalise...

Rotary mulching machine fisarmonica In recent years, farmers’ equipment requirements have changed. However, the demand for machines that allow to improve and optimise production costs remains. Grass cutting is high on the agenda. As agricultural firms grow in size, skilled labour becomes increasingly difficult to find and cultivation techniques improve, the hectare/hour ratio needs to be reduced, in order to save time and money. To meet these requirements, Hermes, which has always invested in rotary cutting machines, has developed the Fisarmonica. On one hand, the blades cut the grass with optimal...

FISARMONICA Watch the video of the machine in action on your smartphone. Minimum working width What makes these machines so efficient is the fact that they are easy and inexpensive to maintain: the time and operations required for their ordinary maintenance are reduced by the fact that they are solidly and simply built. Large firms that have many machines particularly appreciate this aspect. Fisarmonica is the ideal grass cutting machine. Its cutting system and flexibility is perfectly suited to today’s modern and efficient way of maintaining grass surfaces.

with no swing disk with one swing disk with two swing disks The HM with one swing disk is ideally suited for wide rows of trees or plants that require the machine to pass twice. The swing disk allows for a continuously variable swath, but also acts as a safety device in the event of hitting an obstacle, as it retracts thanks to the spring return, which is standard in all models. The flagship of the range, thanks to its flexibility, the HM machine with two swing disks is ideally suited for modern agricultural needs. The two swing disks allow for a variable swath. These machines are designed to...

From a technical point of view, the machines all share the same principle: the transmission works with belts and pulleys, the blade shaft has 3 ball bearings, a robust C shaped frame, a Hermes transfer case proportionate to the model and a strong fibreglass covering very close to the ground. Last but not least, all models in the HM range are true to the same principle, which is shared by all Hermes machines: quality. The transmission has the advantage of making the belt work a bit like a clutch: when the blade finds an obstacle, the belt absorbs the excess torque. The belt is one of the cheapest...

The HM with one swing disk is ideally suited where the machine needs to pass twice between rows of trees, plants, vines, etc. The swing disk has a spring return that makes the disk retract when it hits an obstacle; once the obstacle is passed, the disk returns in position. The option to adjust the cutting height hydraulically, while maintaining the spring return, makes the machine easier to operate. The swing disk has a plate below the blades and an articulated arm that allows the disk to move vertically (approx. 10 cm), to adjust should it hit the ground. HM machines with one swing disk (except...

Flexibility is the word that best describes HM machines with two swing disks. The two swing disks ensure a variable swath, ideal for farms that have varying widths between the rows of trees, plants, etc. Grass is cut with optimal results by passing just once between rows and, if required, between one tree or plant and the next. These machines are ideal for organic farming, where farms cannot use chemicals and must cut grass mechanically. The transfer case is positioned in the middle (except in the HM252L model), the machine needs only drive once through the middle of a row of trees or plants....
