Product catalog summary
Device Overview & Intended Use
The Connex® Central Station 1.7 software is designed for monitoring neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in healthcare facilities. It supports connectivity with various Welch Allyn devices, including the Connex® Vital Signs Monitor and Spot Monitor.
Main Screen
The main screen is divided into four parts: System Message Area, Patient Data Area, Navigation Area, and Waiting Area. The System Message Area provides information such as the name of the covered area, date, time, and alarms. The Patient Data Area displays patient tiles with details like name, location, and parameters.
Patient List
The Patient List can be accessed via the navigation area and includes three tabs: Current, Discharged, and Search. The Current Tab shows confirmed and unconfirmed patient lists, while the Discharged Tab lists patients who have left the unit. The Search Tab allows searches by patient name, ID, or date of birth.
Patient Tiles
Different tile views are available on the main monitoring screen, including Standard, Spot Check, and Mini Trend Tiles. Each tile displays patient location, name, and gender, with specific data like episodic vitals and continuous patient data.
Device Details Window
Clicking a Patient Tile opens the Device Details window, which shows a patient summary, device messages, continuous patient data, and episodic vitals. Users can adjust alarm limits and review patient data.
Patient Details
From the Device Details window, users can edit patient information, view vitals, demographics, and connected monitors. The summary includes unit, room/bed, and assigned medical staff.
Connecting a Device
Devices can be connected continuously or episodically. The system supports admitting patients from a waiting area to the patient list.
Alarms
Alarms are managed on the main monitoring screen and patient tiles. Users can pause alarms and adjust limits. Station alarms are also available.
Reviewing Data
Data review includes flow sheets, continuous trends, graphical trends, and patient alarms.
Patient Rest Mode
This mode is indicated by a specific icon and displays both episodic vitals and continuous data.
Discharging a Patient
Patients can be discharged from the system, but actively monitored patients cannot be discharged.
Other System Icons
Various icons indicate system status, such as connectivity issues or paused monitoring.

Additional resources are available for further information and support.
