As a result, the horse's stomach permanently produces gastric acid, which can only be neutralised by saliva. This is produced by chewing while eating. Therefore, regular portioned feeding plays an important role in the nutrition of horses in order to avoid colic, stomach ulcers or behavioural disorders. In group housing stables, such as active or open stables, feeding troughs are therefore used for continuous access to feed. Our automated feeding rack offers you a horse-friendly and economical solution. Solution: In order to ensure the permanent availability of roughage while at the same time observing feeding pauses HUESKER developed the Lubratec feeding rack for automated feeding of horses. The 2 x 2 m feeding rack with height-adjustable feed trough offers space for up to 12 hor- Time controlled doors for species friendly feeding ses or ponies and is particularly suitable for group housing systems such as open or active stables. One side of the rack is equipped with a swivel gate for filling the rack, for example with a round or square bale. If required, the four sides of the cuboid rack can be opened and closed by electrically operated textile roller doors. The integrated time control allows automatic opening and closing up to 20 times a day, thus realising many and regular feeding times for your horses. In addition, automated feeding offers great savings in time and work. The textile gates are made of particularly stable and UV-resistant material. In order to avoid damage by the horses, the edges of the hangings are covered by sealing lips.
