LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte System Provides nutritional support for calves Helps address dehydration and assists with optimal intake Supports calves experiencing heat stress Provides nutritional support during health challenges Includes two products: Electrolyte Base (25-lb. bag) and Electrolyte Add Pack (3-lb. container). LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte Base LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte Add Pack Can be added to LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte Base: • At the first visible signs of dehydration, Before transportation Upon arrival as part of a receiving protocol When calves are undergoing heat stress At the first signs of scours (scour score 2) when no other signs of dehydration are visible such as sunken eyes, pale gums, tented skin, mild depression or weakness • When calves have more severe scours (scour score 2+ to 3) High dextrose Provides quick energy Assists with electrolyte transportation Supports intake Sodium acetate Supports optimal pH balance and hydration Supports immune function and tissue health Malic acid Helps reduce the potential for excess D lactic acid1 Feeding considerations: LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte Base: LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte Add Pack: Provide in between milk feedings. Do not mix LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte Base with milk or milk replacer. Solution is yellow color for easy identification. Do not feed alone. Always feed LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte Add Pack with LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte Base. Solution is orange color for easy identification. Feed 2 quarts of LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte Base up to two times per day. If using for heat stress, mix a more dilute solution (according to directions) and provide free choice. Feed 2 quarts of LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte Base with LAND O LAKES® Electrolyte Add Pack up to 2-4 times per day as needed. Always provide fresh, clean water beginning on day two.
