Unlimited Steel, rust-resistant “Gatorshield” provides the high strength frame for our functionally designed Ludy Gothic. The end bows are made from 1 %” square, 15 gauge tubing. Square tubing makes the gable end framing installation much easier. Intermediate bows are 1.66” round, 14 gauge steel tubing spaced four or six feet on center. This gives the structure incredible stability as well as the correct dimensions to accept standard size glazing options. One of the most innovative engineering features of the Ludy Gothic is the purlin location. Purlins fabricated from 1.315” round, 16 gauge tubing are placed on the cross members. This location eliminates the condensation dripping that would normally occur in this type of greenhouse. The Ludy Gothic is very economical but does not lack strength or versatility. We pride ourselves on the quality and durability of our structures and the Gothic is no exception. Wind bracing is provided as part of the package to reinforce and stabilize. The 20 ft or 30 ft standard width can be made to any length to afford each customer as much space as is desired. Manufactured as a low cost solution for growers getting started the Ludy Gothic can be installed by our crew or, with the installation manual provided, you can build it yourself. The Gothic also makes a good transition house for retailers or established growers. The peak height of 13 ft and standard side wall height of 3 ft can be covered with 44 ft poly. Roof glazing options include double-layer polyethylene, using Ludy poly locking system with inflatable air pocket, or single-layer polyethylene, shade cloth or vinyl laminated polyester.
