EVEN CROP RIPENING When crop matures unevenly due to hilly terrain, climate, staggered seeding, or uneven germination, crop cut by the windrower will continue to ripen in the swath, evening out as it dries down to the correct moisture content. This helps improve grain quality and can even eliminate the requirement to dry grain after harvest.
