The camera provides superior precision to just a few centimetres at speeds of up to 15 km/h, detecting between 1 and 5 crop rows for guidance. Optional LED work lights are available to illuminate the field of vision and enable high-precision work at night. The sophisticated camera software - designed by Steketee - ensures that even small crop plants are detected, and the camera reliably identifies crop rows even in weed-infested fields. This is achieved, among others, by the camera detecting not merely green hues but rather the RGB colour spectrum, allowing it to clearly distinguish rows of yellowish or reddish crop plants, for example. Its autolearning function prevents colour differences within a crop from impacting negatively on camera guidance. Several cameras can be installed to cover large working widths; however, the parallel sliding frame is only ever controlled by a single camera. Switching between cameras is useful whenever there are gaps in crops or individual elements need to be lifted at the headlands (Section Control). Manual steering A seat is provided at the rear of the hoe for manual steering. Operators can control the parallel sliding frame comfortably via a joystick to guide the tools precisely between the rows. The field of view of the IC-Light camera is transmitted live to the terminal in the tractor cab. Key crop parameters can be entered via the terminal before starting to work, and additional settings can be easily made while working.
