2. General description The SOLID CONTROL MCK 2000 electronic control is designed for application on dual-fan centrifugal fertilizer spreaders, and its main purpose is to adjust the distribution concentration of the product. The control performs its function using two electric motor-actuators, which regulate the opening and closing of the fertiliser distribution slits. The SOLID CONTROL foresees the adjustment of the concentration both automatically with DPA system, and manually through operator management. 3.1 How to install the Computer To assemble the Monitor operate as follows: • Within the driver’s cabin, on a flat surface, make 2 holes (D. 9 mm) correspondent to the ones on the clamping bracket (A) and firmly fix the bracket to the frame by means of two screws (not supplied); • fix the Monitor on the fixing bracket by means of the proper handles (B). 3.2 How to install the sensors The SOLID CONTROL MCK 2000 can be equipped with 3 types of sensors: • Inductive sensor for detecting the feed-rate code 481 (always present); • Inductive sensor for detecting the speed of the PTO code 481 (always present); • grain level sensor code 1403 (optional). 3.2.1 How to install the inductive speed sensor D.18 item 481 The inductive sensor can be installed wherever a mechanical motion exists, on the (front or rear) wheel of the agricultural machine/vehicle or otherwise creating a protruding piece of metal for reference, long at least 7 mm (Picture 4–...

3.2.2 How to install the inductive sensor for PTO D.18 item 481 The PTO sensor can be located next to the PTO socket where an adaptor (not supplied) is fitted. This comprises a circular bushing, secured with at least 2 bolts, placing the sensor head in front of the bushing bolts (Picture 5 – ref. ) : in this way the sensor picks up two bolts every rotation of the power takeoff. 3.2.3 Installation of product level capacitive sensor (if present) code 1403 The capacitive sensor for the product level should be positioned so as to verify when the level of product in the tank decreases and goes below the reserve limit. 3.3 How to install the actuators Actuators are installed according to the set-up of the machine. In whatever set-up they must regulate the opening and closing of the slits through which the product passes. The optimum installation is obtained when the following conditions apply: 1. The entire piston length is used to open/close the slits, without “dead areas” at the start or finish: this means that for every piston movement the quantity of fertiliser varies; the ratio between the piston stroke and quantity of product passing through the slits is linear (e.g. when the actuator piston is at...

3.3.1 How to adjust the actuators When installing the SOLID CONTROL MCK 2000 for the first time, it is important to calibrate the actuators to enable them to work properly. The factory settings are made so that the actuator pistons are fully extended when the slits are completely open (max. distribution of product, Picture 7 - ref. ) and are fully withdrawn when the slits are closed. If the specific application requires the opposite set-up (pistons withdrawn with slits open (Picture 7 - ref. ), the “Mot” parameter should be changed as follows: • Switch on the Computer (“ON/OFF” switch)...
