Meditech's MTPS Plant Production Room is designed for research involving C3 and similar low light, short plants. Lighting
The MTPS lighting system provides low to moderate light intensity using T8 fluorescent and halogen incandescent lamps, offering a broad light spectrum suitable for plant growth. Lamp canopies are fixed to stationary shelves, with an option for cantilevered canopies to accommodate rolling plant carts. Lighting levels can be programmed via the CMP6050 control system, with higher intensities available as an option.

Refrigeration
The MTPS series uses a self-contained water-cooled condensing unit with hot gas bypass for continuous compressor operation. An electronic modulating valve ensures precise temperature control and quiet operation. Pressure transducers monitor the refrigeration system, and alternative methods are available based on specific requirements.

Experiment Protection
User-programmable alarms track chamber operation against set points, providing accurate monitoring without frequent adjustments. Backup alarms offer additional protection, with visual and audible notifications for activated alarms. The system includes contacts for building management system integration.

Airflow
Uniform airflow is achieved through perforated sidewall plenums with a center return to the conditioning coil, allowing the use of multiple plant trays without airflow obstruction.
