The MTR30 Multi-Tier Plant Growth Chamber offers a doubled growth area compared to the MPGR15, with two shelves providing 30ft² (2.79m²) of growth space and 25 inches (635mm) of growth height. It is ideal for short to medium height plants requiring moderate light intensity. The chamber is fully assembled, fits through standard doorways, and is suitable for spaces with low ceilings. Meditech offers consultation for specific applications and research needs.

Lighting
The chamber features a standard light intensity of 600 micromoles/m²/s using T8 fluorescent and halogen incandescent lamps, providing a broad lighting spectrum. Lighting is adjustable in two levels per lamp type and monitored by a quantum light meter. Lamp heat is managed by the refrigeration system, with alternative methods available upon request.

Experiment Protection
User-programmable alarms track chamber operation against set points, providing accurate monitoring without frequent adjustments. Backup alarms offer additional protection, with visual and audible notifications for any alarm activation. The chamber includes contacts for building management system integration.

Airflow
Airflow is distributed through two Meditech Uni-floor systems, ensuring uniform air distribution. Adjustable fresh air intake and exhaust ports allow up to 20 ft³/min (0.57m³/min) of air exchange.

Refrigeration
The chamber uses a self-contained water-cooled condensing unit with hot gas bypass for continuous operation. An electronic modulating valve ensures tight temperature control and quiet operation, with pressure transducers for monitoring.
