MAXIMISE YOUR HERD’S POTENTIAL
Open the catalog to page 1THE DATAFLOW™ II HERD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IS A COMPREHENSIVE, INTEGRATED SOLUTION FOR MILKING MANAGEMENT AND HERD MONITORING . This software is to be installed on a PC and provides real-time information on fertility, health and feed management of cows, as well as on the milking process and milk yield. This system provides farmers with advanced management tools, including reports, graphs and analyses to help manage daily and long-term strategic decisions. The intuitive interface is extremely user-friendly. With the option of customising the program, the farmer can set the software to suit his needs....

Open the catalog to page 4Heat detection DataFlow™ II combines the tracking of animals’ motor activity with rumination data to provide extremely precise and accurate heat detection. The system not only suggests which animals can be inseminated, but, using the specific “Breeding Window”, it also indicates the best time for insemination with a countdown to the expected ovulation time. A simple colour code helps to immediately know when to inseminate the animal to maximise conception rate
Open the catalog to page 5Rumination monitoring The rumination level is the best indicator to assess the health status of a cow. Ruminating is a basic requirement for a cow, like eating and sleeping. A change in rumination is an alarm bell to be carefully considered and evaluated. DataFlow™ II monitors the rumination level throughout the most delicate phases of lactation allowing the farmer to immediately spot the onset of metabolic disorders, thereby enabling him to act quickly. The rumination data is also crucial for assessing the animals’ response to different feeding strategies and for monitoring the effect of ration...
Open the catalog to page 6Behaviour group monitoring DataFlow™ II monitors rumination and eating of the group and recognises any critical variation that may impact on group level or on the entire herd. Group data shows the group’s response to sudden changes and allows the farmer to plan long-term strategies in order to improve herd nutrition, welfare and production. With this monitoring system, the consequences of any voluntary or involuntary variation in diet can be analysed and the farmer’s feeding strategy can be optimised to achieve the best balance between food cost and production performances.
Open the catalog to page 7Heat stress detection During the hottest times of the year, but also in crowded conditions or when there is poor air circulation, the animals can experience heat stress. To dissipate excess body heat, the cows will increase their respiratory rate. DataFlow™ II identifies this type of behaviour and indicates whether a particular group or the entire herd is suffering from heat stress. Thanks to the data collected by DataFlow™ II, it is now possible to check the effects of heat on the animals so that the correct cooling strategy can be used to mitigate and manage high temperatures and ensure the...
Open the catalog to page 8Difficult calving/post-calving distress indication The system monitors one of the most delicate period of lactation, the transition phase. If the animals near calving show signs of distress, DataFlow™ II indicates a probable difficult birth. If a cow substantially reduces or completely stops eating and ruminating, the system will generate a distress alarm. Pre-calving and post-calving distress is an extremely serious alarm, which must be assessed immediately by the farmer. DataFlow™ II monitors every animal that has just given birth for any post-calving problems.

Open the catalog to page 10Real-time yield and milking DataFlow™ II records daily animal production data and highlights any milk decrease. At the same time it monitors the actual milking process, analysing cow preparation and milk ejection after cluster attachment. It also highlights parlour irregularities, such as manually milked animals or clusters kicked off. The Real Time screen shows the live milking process and the status of each milking point: successful or unsuccessful animal identification, milk yield, any alarms or anomalies, points where milking is in progress and points where it has already finished, etc.
Open the catalog to page 11Selection gate The selection gate is a true aid in herd management. Animals requiring special attention (animals to be inseminated, to be dried, to be examined by a vet, etc.) will be automatically separated by a gate when coming out of the milking parlour. DataFlow™ II will send cows to a special box, so that the farmer does not have to search for them one by one and separate them from the herd. The gate not only simplifies the farmer’s work, but is also a valuable tool for animal welfare. Only animals that are to be captured will be isolated, while the rest of them can return to their group...
