Heatable drinking bowls Heatable drinking bowls: How they work The drinking bowls are heated using a special heating cable with a built-in thermostat for automatic regulation. If the temperature of the drinking bowl falls below around 5°C, the heating cable switches on. The valve and the drinking bowl are heated simultaneously until a temperature of around 15°C is reached. The cable can also be used to heat the water pipe, if required (trace heating – indicated by items with “RBH” in their product code).
