TO PLANT Productive in areas where winter annual small grains and ryegrass are adapted. _ Tolerant of acid soils, but grows best on fertile, well drained soils with good water holding capacity and a soil pH of 6.0 - 6.5. ® SuperGraze® winter annual forage mixture features a precise blend of two premium cool season annual forages - Wintergrazer 70 cereal rye and Passerel Plus annual ryegrass - into one convenient package. It helps bridge forage availability gaps by combining the cold tolerance of cereal rye with the high yield and long growing season of annual ryegrass. (See Chart) The result is an extended fall, winter, and spring grazing period of up to seven months in many areas of the U.S. thus reducing winter hay needs. Under favorable growing conditions, SuperGraze® forage establishes in 35 - 45 days after planting to provide quick cover and highly nutritious forage for all species of grazing animals. This unique seed blend also provides eye-pleasing thick grass cover to help prevent soil erosion and animal hoof tracking damage during the wet winter months. It can be planted on a prepared seedbed or sod seeded into closely grazed or clipped warm season pastures. USES • Grazing for all classes of livestock. Also for hay, silage or green chop. Can be sod seeded in dormant warm season pastures for cool season forage production. PLANTING RATE: 100 Ibs/acre drilled or 125 IbsJacre broadcast DEPTH: 1/2" to 3/4" DATE: Northern region: August 15 - October 15 Southern region: September 15 - November 15 FERTILIZATION: Soil testing is highly recommended. Lime soil to a pH between 6.0 and 7.0. Apply 40-60 lbs./acre. starter nitrogen and follow soil test recommendations for phosphorus and potassium. METHOD: Drill seed into a well-prepared and firm seedbed or use a no-till drill to overseed it into closely clipped or grazed warm season perennial pastures.
