Models FV2 with 2 swing arms VINEYARD MOWERS • Mows easily between and around vines • Saves labour and chemical costs • An environmental-friendly alternative Option: raisable swing arm These specialised mowers consist of a rigid central section with a swing arm at either side to allow for integral weed and grass control from centre row to vine rows in one pass. The central section has two front swivel wheels and a wheel or rear roller to allow the mower to follow the contours of the ground and give precise height adjustment from 4 - 10 cm (W- 4"). Swing arms are spring loaded and can be set in different positions to vary the cutting width. At the finest touch of the vine the rubber covered swing arm wheel rotates and deflects its cutting blade away from the vine. Optional extras • A hydraulic ram can be provided to retract the swing arms from the set maximum width while working. • Raisable swing arms are available for those vineyards where the vines are planted on ridges. These models are especially designed for vineyards with different row widths. The rigid construction and the 2 special sliding gearboxes allow variation of the timed blades overlap and consequently the cutting width without changing the machine length. Interchangeable wearing plates in the sliding frame assure long life and minimal maintenance. Flexible rubber shock absorbers between the gearboxes and the swing-away blades, as well as the PTO shaft with standard overrunning clutch and overload protection clutch, protect the drive line.
