  • If the inlet gate is flashing, verify that the entry gate is closed.
  • If the hold status is lit, press the draft button and check drafting ranges and limits.
  • For remote status issues, sync the radio remote.
  • If scales are flashing, enter a draft range and verify drafting range and limits.
  • If no EID is showing, try another eartag and sync the EID connect plug.
  • Check battery voltage if no lights are on the EID reader.
2. Operational Notes:

  • To pair scales, press the setup button twice on the PAD6, then press the connect button on the scale connect plug.

3. Drafting Modes:
  • Auto Drafting: Click button to control inlet gate 1.
  • Standard Drafting: Involves opening the inlet gate, recording the animal, and opening the exit gate.
  • Bypass Drafting: Press and hold the arrow button to control exit gates.
  • Hold then Override: Involves holding the animal, weighing, and then overriding the draft.
4. Additional Notes:
  • To cancel a drafting cycle, click the same button again to open the inlet gate.
  • To bypass an animal already in the crate, click any button, then press and hold the arrow button for the desired exit direction.
  • The drafter will not release an animal while the inlet gate is open.
