Horizontal Grinder Tooth Options Overview
This document provides an overview of the different tooth options available for horizontal grinders, specifically focusing on three types: Carbide Tooth, Solid Carbide Tooth, and Beaver Tooth®. Each type is suited for various applications such as making mulch, chip re-grind/color, and handling different types of waste and debris.
Tooth Types and Applications
- Carbide Tooth: Suitable for making mulch, light and heavy green waste, pallets, and logs up to approximately 6 inches in diameter. It offers superior, long-lasting results ideal for high-impact applications.
- Solid Carbide Tooth: Best for making mulch, light and heavy green waste, pallets, and logs. It features a coated overlay application technology that embeds wear-resistant carbide granules in a tough, abrasion-resistant steel-weld material.
- Beaver Tooth®: Effective for making mulch, light and heavy green waste, and logs. It is designed for consistent performance and long tool life in low-impact grinding applications.
Key Features
- All options have two cutting edges and are designed for increased productivity on logs and heavy brush.
- They incorporate premium-quality macrocrystalline tungsten carbide inserts brazed onto an all-steel body for secure placement.
- Efficient cutting action for heavier material, yielding chips with fewer hammered, frayed edges.
Replacement Tooth Part Numbers
- Carbide Tooth: #27529
- Solid Carbide Tooth: #27523
- Beaver Tooth®: #29015
