ROETELMANN GMBH is a manufacturer of products and not of substances or mixtures. ROETELMANN GMBH is a downstream user in accordance with article 3(13) of the REACH regulation and therefore not responsible for the registration of substances. According to article 33 of the REACH Regulation, ROETELMANN GMBH is obliged to inform customers if a delivered product contains a substance from the SVHC candidate list for authorization procedures in excess of 0.1% by weight. The SVHC candidate list is regularly updated by the European Chemicals Agency and published on the website https://echa.europa.eu/en/candidate-list-table (article 59 (10) of the REACH regulation). Lead (EC No: 231-100-4 and CAS No: 7439-92-1) was included in the SVHC Candidate List on 27.06.2018. Lead is currently present in products and components of our product range as an alloy component of automatic steel (<0.35%), aluminum (<0.4%), and copper (<4%). The use of the SVHC substance lead complies with applicable legal requirements. There is no danger to health and the environment, as the substance cannot be released during normal use. The inclusion of lead in the SVHC candidate list does not imply a ban, but rather a requirement for declaration under article 33 of the REACH regulation. We regularly monitor and evaluate changes to the SVHC candidate list and maintain constant communication with our suppliers. We commit to continuing to fulfill all registration and reporting obligations of the REACH regulation in order to ensure the use and distribution of our products in accordance with REACH requirements.
