These and other chemical reactions cause insoluble gelatinous deposits. Impact on water Hardly any impact on health. Neutralizes the effectiveness of medication. Alters the taste, resulting in decreased water consumption. Cause: Gelatinous compounds. Effect: Harmful to nipples, electric water valves if used.
