Product catalog summary
EnviroSCAN Probe Overview
The EnviroSCAN Probe is a versatile tool designed for precision monitoring of water and salinity at various soil depths. It is widely used in agriculture, environmental applications, research, education, and landscaping.

Features
  • Multiple sensors with adjustable depth placement in 10cm increments, allowing monitoring from shallow (0–10cm) to deep installations (up to 40 meters).
  • Customizable probe lengths for specific applications, with in-field adjustability.
  • In-built orientation and depth settings for enhanced sensor repeatability.
  • Full serviceability and flexible connectivity options for data retrieval.
  • Soil-specific calibrations applicable to individual sensors.

Installation
  • Probes are inserted into 56.5mm diameter access tubes, improving sensor accuracy and protecting sensors from direct soil contact.
  • Access tubes are sealed to ensure long-term operation and allow full in-field serviceability without data integrity loss.
  • Installation uses specialized tools to minimize soil disturbance, preserving the undisturbed soil profile.

Probe Cap Options
  • EnviroSCAN Flat Cap: Sits flush with the ground, features a water-tight sealing design, and provides easy access for servicing.
  • EnviroSCAN Screw Cap: Protrudes above the soil surface, is easy to locate, and tightly sealed with a rubber O-ring for easy servicing access.

Specifications
  • Maximum sensors per interface: 16
  • Current consumption varies by model, with standby and sampling modes.
  • Resolution: Moisture >1:10000, TriSCAN >1:6000
  • Operating temperature ranges from -30° to +85° Celsius depending on the model.
  • Measurement time per sensor varies from 50ms to 1.1 seconds.

Sealing Options
  • Bottom sealing options include a double-ringed expandable rubber bung, a slurry cap, or a solid, sealed FAST1 base.
  • Top sealing options depend on the application, with different cap designs available.

EnviroSCAN Probe-1

EnviroSCAN Probe Reliable Performance EnviroSCAN Probe The award winning EnviroSCAN probe is the flagship product of Sentek. It provides the user with great flexibility for precision monitoring of water and salinity at multiple depths in a soil profile. Features of the probe include: Probes are inserted into customised 56.5mm diameter access tubes to allow for: The EnviroSCAN probe is widely used in all forms of agriculture (irrigated and dryland), environmental applications, research and education, as well as turf, parks and gardens. EnviroSCAN is the only commercially available product that allows for monitoring to great depths (up to 40 metres) using the same profiling probe. • Multiple sensors with adjustable depth placement (at 10cm increments). • Monitoring from shallow depths (0–10cm) to deep installations (up to 40 metres). • Flexible probe lengths, customised to suit the application (probe length adjustable in the field). • In-built probe orientation and depth settings to enhance sensor repeatability. • Full serviceability. • Flexible connectivity for wide range of data retrieval options. • Improved sensor accuracy through precise wall thickness and diameter of access tube. • Protection of sensors by avoiding direct soil contact. • Specific sealing to ensure long-term operation. • Full in-field serviceability without impacting on data integrity. Installation of access tubes is carried out using specialised tools to ensure minimum soil disturbance during installation and hence measurement of an undisturbed soil profile. • Soil specific calibrations can be applied to individual sensors. Probe Sealing The bottom of the access tube is sealed using any of: 1. A Double-ringed expandable rubber bung, providing 2 sealing points and preventing underground moisture from entering the tube, or 2. A slurry cap, which is glued in place, or 3. The solid, sealed FAST1 base with a cutting edge. • Allows for the probe to sit flush with the ground surface. • Top cap protrudes above the soil surface. • Water-tight, 3 point sealing design. • Easy to find and readily accessible. • Provides ready access to the probe for servicing. • Tightly sealed with a rubber O-ring. • Avoids potentially costly...
