The unique trait of the gas process is its compactness for being anaerobic, as methane-producing bacteria normally works very slowly. The MAT-process has been developed for de-watering and drying of the sludge fraction from effluent treatment in aquaculture. Sterner’s ABR-process produces biogas and removes suspended solids in effluent water from aquaculture. In this way effluent treatment is combined with energy production.
