UmbilicalSlurry Systems

Product catalog summary
Introduction
Storth has developed a comprehensive range of Umbilical Slurry Systems designed for modern farmers and contractors. These systems efficiently manage slurry through stages such as scraping, pumping, storing, mixing, and applying.
Pump Systems
The document outlines three main pump systems: Bauer, Cri-Man, and DODA. Each system features unique chopping mechanisms and specifications. Bauer uses a spiral-draw chopping mechanism, Cri-Man employs chrome steel blades for aggressive chopping, and DODA focuses on simplicity with a chopper propeller. Each system is tailored to specific power requirements and capacities.
Standard Equipment
Storth provides a fully galvanized chopper pump frame compatible with Bauer, Cri-Man, or DODA pumps. The frame is robust and ergonomic, with optional compressor tow hitch kits. The pump priming system includes a heavy-duty vacuum primer and a transparent pipe system for visibility and security.
Pipework Solutions
Three pipework solutions are available: FarmerPlus, Contractor, and ContractorPlus. These offer varying levels of control and cleaning capabilities, with ContractorPlus featuring advanced options like a return to lagoon-tank facility and optional headland management pressure relief system.
Engine Pump Station (EPS)
The EPS reduces the need for a tractor to drive the pump, improving fuel efficiency and pump performance. Storth offers EPSs with various engine options and configurations to meet specific user requirements.
Hose Systems
Storth partners with Snap-Tite and Gollmer & Hummel for hose solutions. Snap-Tite provides durable polyurethane hoses, while Gollmer & Hummel offer rubber hoses resistant to weathering and chemicals. Both ensure strong adhesion and long service life.
Hose Fittings
Storth uses genuine Bauer fittings for safety and reliability, along with Storz and Shug couplings, which feature swivel mechanisms and compact designs for efficient hose management.
Mounted Reeler
Storth's Mounted Reelers are designed for efficient hose laying and retrieval, featuring robust construction, hydraulic gearbox drive, and optional features like rotary speed control valves and LED lighting kits.
Overview
The document provides detailed information on Storth's slurry management equipment, focusing on hose reelers, spreader bars, dribble bars, trailing shoe injectors, and nurse tanks. Each section outlines specifications, features, and options for different models, catering to both farmers and contractors.
Hose Reelers
Storth offers various hose handling systems, including the FarmerPlus Bobbin Reeler and Contractor Bobbin Reeler, designed for efficient slurry pumping. The FarmerPlus model supports 600m to 1000m hose capacities, while the Contractor model supports up to 1000m. Both models feature robust construction and hydraulic drive motors.
Spreader Bars
Designed for simple slurry application, spreader bars are available in single and twin outlet models, ensuring even distribution with minimal environmental impact. Features include heavy-duty linkage and adjustable spread plates.
Trailed Reelers
Ideal for long-distance slurry handling, available in 1500m and 2000m capacities, featuring hydraulic brakes, flotation tyres, and LED lighting for road safety.
Dribble Bars
These reduce nutrient loss by minimizing slurry exposure to the atmosphere. Models offer working widths from 7m to 12m, with features like NovaCut distributors for consistent material processing.
Trailing Shoe Injector
Designed for minimal plant contamination, these injectors apply slurry directly to the soil, featuring a single beam frame and replaceable tips.
Nurse Tanks
Mobile tanks with 65m3 and 100m3 capacities facilitate slurry spreading in areas not directly accessible from storage, featuring hydraulic brakes and multiple port options.
Application Control
Storth offers solutions for monitoring slurry application rates using Krohne or Siemens Flow Meters, providing data on application rates, forward speed, and area coverage to optimize nutrient use and minimize pollution.

The main advantage of using an Engine Pump Station (EPS) is that there is no need to use a tractor to drive the pump. This releases the tractor and potentially an operator (Contractor and ContractorPlus Controls) for more diverse operations, saving excessive static hour operation and expensive depreciation...

Nurse Tank Application Control Mobile Nurse Tanks can be used for various reasons in the application and handling of slurry or digestate. Storth manufacture two sizes of tank, 65m3 and 100m3, which enable umbilical spreading where land is not traditionally accessible from the slurry or AD digestate store. Slurry is transported from the farm or the biogas source by road lorries or tankers and discharged into the Nurse Tank. The Tank acts as a buffer for the umbilical spreading system, allowing continuous spreading between the tanker's loads arriving at the site. Technical Details • 65m3 or 100m3...
