Tower Dryer

Tower Dryer

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides detailed specifications and features of Sukup Tower Dryers, focusing on models with capacities ranging from 1000 to 7000 bushels per hour. Key features include QuadraTouch™ controls, industrial-grade components, and various operational advantages.
Specifications: The dryers are equipped with standard and adjustable signals for auxiliary controls, automatic and manual unload rate control, and standard moisture sensors. The electronic mod-valve heater control ensures fuel efficiency and steady plenum temperature. The structure includes galvanized and painted modular tower legs for rust resistance.
Advantages: Key advantages include an extra-large wet holding bin, wide grain columns for efficiency, easy debris removal through clean-out doors, and stainless steel components for durability. The dryers feature a positive unloading system with paddles and a grain table made of stainless steel, ensuring long life and consistent grain flow.
Vacuum Cooling Efficiency: The Sukup Tower Dryer operates in a heat/vacuum cool mode, reclaiming heat from the grain to reduce fuel requirements. This system enhances drying efficiency by pulling air through the grain, cooling it while heating the air.
Balanced Moisture Content: The dryers use rotary switches for load control, allowing for choke or demand fill. Grain exchangers invert the grain during drying for balanced moisture content.
Modular Tower Dryer: The U1010 and U1510 models offer cost-effective installation with pre-assembled modules, reducing on-site construction time. These models share features with larger commercial dryers, such as Maxon Burners and in-line centrifugal blowers.
Effortless Operation: The QuadraTouch™ control system simplifies operation with menu-driven interfaces and remote monitoring capabilities. It allows for adjustments in drying temperature and unload rotor speed, either manually or automatically.
Performance Data: The document includes detailed performance data for various models, specifying capacities, airflow, burner specifications, and power requirements. It emphasizes that performance may vary based on several factors, including grain type and environmental conditions.
Additional Information: Sukup Manufacturing Co. provides this information to assist in equipment selection, noting that specifications are estimates and not guarantees. The document also lists distribution centers and contact information for further inquiries.

VACUUM COOLING EFFICIENCY ADVANTAGE • The Sukup Tower Dryer operates in a heat/vacuum cool mode. • The blower(s) and burner are located inside the dryer between the heating and cooling chambers, eliminating ducting and leaving more room for the unload area. • Air is pulled through the grain at the bottom of the dryer, cooling the grain while heating the air. Reclaiming heat from the grain means less fuel is required to get the air to drying temperature. The air is then pulled into the blowers, through the burner and into the drying chamber. EFFORTLESS OPERATION BALANCED MOISTURE CONTENT • Grain...
