Sun-North provides reliable drive systems specifically designed for lifting panel and curtain systems. Their actuators are available in two sizes, catering to different lifting needs.
- Medium Duty Actuators (BX): Capable of lifting 1500 lbs (680 kg) with travel lengths ranging from 15” to 76” (0.4m to 1.95m).
- Heavy Duty Actuators (BXX): Capable of lifting 2500 lbs (1134 kg) with similar travel lengths.
- Constructed with a 16ga. galvanized steel enclosure suitable for both indoor and outdoor mounting.
- Equipped with a manual turning nut for operation during power failures.
- Separate motor compartment for easy servicing and exchange.
- Optional potentiometers for automatic curtain positioning and feedback.
- Manual override gear box attachments available.
Sun-North actuators are CSA and/or CE approved, ensuring compliance with international standards and compatibility with most electronic controls.

Actuators Sun-North manufactures two different sizes of linear actuators, a medium duty (BX) with 1500lbs (680kg) of lift and a heavy duty (BXX) with 2500lbs (1134kg) of lift. The sizes range from 15" to 76" (0.4m to 1.95m) of travel meaning the largest actuator lifts a panel or curtain that covers a 76" or 1.95m opening. • Actuators are contained in a 16ga. galvanized steel enclosure that can be mounted inside or outside of a building. • Each actuator is equipped with a manual turning nut (on the end) that is easily accessible with a ratchet allowing operation of the actuator to open a curtain...
