Product catalog summary
Introduction
The Timberwolf TW PTO 150H is a brushwood chipper designed for safe and reliable operation when used according to the manual. Reading the manual is essential to prevent personal injury, equipment damage, or property damage.
Purpose of Machine
This chipper processes solid wood materials, including timber branches and brushwood up to 150mm in diameter, with a capacity of over 3 tonnes per hour. It requires a 25-60hp tractor with a 540rpm PTO.
Machine Specifications
Key specifications include a tractor PTO drive power source, required engine power of 25-60hp, and a maximum material diameter of 150mm. The machine weighs 400kg and features hydraulic feed.
Parts Location Diagrams
Diagrams are provided to locate essential parts such as the hydraulic pump, oil level gauge, rotor, and PTO connection.
Safe Working
Operators must maintain a safety exclusion zone and be aware of hazardous materials. Personal protective equipment is required, including a chainsaw safety helmet, gloves, and safety boots. General safety guidelines include not operating the chipper in insufficient light and ensuring all guards are in place.
Operating Instructions
Before operation, ensure the chipper is securely mounted and all safety checks are completed. The PTO shaft must be correctly connected, and the chipper should be on firm ground. Daily checks include inspecting the hydraulic oil level and ensuring the discharge unit is secure.
Service Instructions
A service schedule is provided, including safe lifting practices, checking hoses, and changing blades. Regular maintenance such as greasing and tensioning belts is essential.
Warranty and Certification
The document includes a warranty statement and an EC Declaration of Conformity Certificate.
Additional Information
Sections on decals, electrical details, and a wiring diagram are included, along with a comprehensive parts list.
Control Panel and Manual Controls
The control panel includes three main buttons: the Green Button for forward feed, the Red Button for emergency stop, and the Blue Button for reverse feed. The Green Button activates the rollers for chipping, the Red Button stops the rollers and must be reset before other buttons can function, and the Blue Button reverses the feed to remove material from the rollers.
Operating Instructions
To start the chipper, engage the PTO clutch gently and increase tractor revs to 540 rpm. Ensure the chipper runs smoothly before feeding material. Use the Red Stop Button or Safety Bar for emergency stops. Wood up to 150 mm in diameter can be fed, with the feed rate controlled automatically based on tractor power.
Blade Maintenance
Blades should be sharp and free from damage. Timberwolf chipper blades are hollow ground to a 40-degree angle and should be checked daily. Blades can be sharpened multiple times, but should be replaced when wear exceeds the safe limit.
Blockages and Stopping Procedures
If the chipper becomes blocked, stop the tractor engine, remove the ignition key, and clear the blockage safely. Do not increase PTO speed above 540 rpm to clear blockages.
Service Instructions
Regular maintenance includes checking linkage points, lubricating parts, inspecting blades, and checking hoses for leaks. Only genuine Timberwolf parts should be used to avoid warranty invalidation.
Safety and Maintenance
Always immobilize the machine before maintenance. Use gloves when handling blades and avoid contact with hydraulic oil. Ensure all fasteners are secure using a calibrated torque wrench.
Blade Changing Procedure
To change blades, remove the PTO shaft, access the rotor, and replace blades using a Torx socket drive. Ensure all screws are tightened to the specified torque.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL CONTROLS Roller control box - is the control box above the feed opening of the chipper funnel. Its function is to control the feed rollers. The feed rollers draw material into the machine. It does not control the main rotor. RED SAFETY BAR = This is the large red bar that surrounds the feed tray and side of the feed funnel. The bar is spring loaded and connected to a switch that will interrupt the power to the rollers. The switch is designed so that it only activates if the bar is pushed to the limit of its travel. The rollers stop instantly, but can be made to turn...

TIMBERWOLF TW PTO 150H BLADE WEAR The most important part of using a wood chipper is keeping the cutter blades sharp. Timberwolf chipper blades are hollow ground to an angle of 40 degrees. When performing daily blade checks ensure blade edge is sharp and free from chips, if there is any evidence of damage, or the edge is “dull” change the blade(s). The TW PTO 150H is fitted with 2 blades 101mm (4”) long. They are 44 mm wide when new. A new blade should chip for up to 25 hours before it requires sharpening. This figure will be drastically reduced by feeding the machine with stony, sandy or muddy...
