Technology and Operation
CropSpec uses a two-sensor configuration mounted on the cabin roof, minimizing damage risk. It employs pulsing laser diodes to measure plant reflectance, determining chlorophyll content and nitrogen concentration non-destructively. The system offers three operational modes:

Read and Record: Collects data for analysis and prescription creation, mapping nitrogen levels for variable rate applications.
User Determined Rate Control: Allows user-defined high/low calibration for on-the-go application using field averaging.
Real-Time Variable Rate Application: Utilizes optional Yara software for site-specific fertilizer rate determination, enabling simultaneous nitrogen level assessment and application.
