Continuous Pellet Coater Process The Van Aarsen Continuous Pellet Coater (CPC) is designed for Post Pelleting Liquid Addition (PPLA). It adds fats and soluble additives such as enzymes and probiotics on cold animal feed pellets. The coating process plays an increasingly important role in efficient animal feed production, enabling: • An energy increase of the pellets by higher liquid inclusion levels • The adding of temperature sensitive and temperature critical components • To maintain the advantages of pellets as well as preventing dissociation and reducing the development of dust Benefits and features Important advantages of the Continuous Pellet Coater: ▶ Accurate dosing and adequate distribution throughout the feed ▶ Simultaneous adding of liquids and grains ▶ Suitable for adding up to 5% fat ▶ Enzyme dosing (optional) ▶ Suitable for adding up to 4 liquids in total ▶ Grain addition up to 20% (optional) Execution ▶ Suitable for spraying up to 5% liquid on cold pellets ▶ Maximum allowable viscosity of liquids is 25 cP ▶ Used oil has to be suitable for a 250 µm filter ▶ The CPC is, as a PPLA, situated after the cooler or just before bulk loading ▶ The CPC is available in ATEX22 Description ▶ Construction completely made of stainless steel. ▶ Post pelleting application (cold pellets) under a weighing screw ▶ Distribution and coating of fat by mixing principle ▶ Electrical heating on housing with monitoring of temperature ▶ Completely insulated ▶ Removable cleaning and inspection hatches on top ▶ Automatic nozzle air cleaning function to avoid dripping ▶ Easy detachable nozzles ▶ Switching spray points at the correct liquid pressure at variable product flow ▶ Liquid-pressure sensor with display provided on the coater ▶ Installed on load cells to ensure optimal regulated filling degree with which the optimal residence time is determined ▶ Frequency controlled drive Hygienic operation ▶ Heating prevents the fat from solidifying, preventing contamination and clogging in piping or further processing ▶ Each nozzle-set is provided with air cleaning, preventing dripping and clogging of the nozzle Datasheet V005 No rights can be claimed, based on the information in this document.
